The Pool, The Frog, and the Sound of Water

A long river running
Love is
fish eyes with tears
earth shakes just enough to remind us
sound of water   the frog   the pool
the present tense   a lost syllable
if the eye is the haiku of the sun does God
wish for the moon
what has not been
seen
what is not
seen
eyes harvest regret
God a word a tremor
waiting for an idea
a light an edge
lonely echo a light
a beginning wave
in the vibration
Eden was already Eden
when the gardener arrived
Who then did God speak
to before Adam–
