Hwæt! I will tell you a tale. Of one bold and true.
Who fought the fremd fire-breathing frog of the footbridge.
On the briny bridge, Beowulf’s boy bellowed a dare
to steal the slow stream back from the slimy shrew–
a grapple to gain godhood. No bones to grind
Only oozing blood overwhelming the ordeal.
With willpower of wild waves and wives,
Beowulf’s bright boy beat the bloodthirsty blight.
It were a sight to see. Shattered sinew, shit, and
Death. Yet, death for the do-gooder of the deed.
Beowulf’s boy broke in the bloodbath
A good end for a great man. Ground into the grave
by a bad frog.
